Coastal
Infrastructure
At Global Maritime, we support the development, upgrade, and optimisation of critical infrastructure, where land meets sea. Whether it’s a new port facility, a hydrogen terminal, or a desalination plant, we bring the marine knowledge required to de-risk decisions and deliver sustainable, future-ready assets.
With decades of experience across ports, energy, and shipping, we understand the technical, logistical, and regulatory challenges that arise when infrastructure interfaces with the marine environment.

Supporting the industry with solutions in a changing offshore world
Our experts advise on feasibility, CAPEX, compliance, infrastructure integration, and safety.
A key aspect of our consultancy is to address emerging renewable requirements, such as retrofitting vessels for alternative fuels, including biofuels, hydrogen, and nuclear, supporting cleaner maritime operations.
From port expansions to waterfront energy hubs, we address all aspects of coastal and nearshore infrastructure. Helping clients assess constructability and ensure safe access for marine traffic and avoid costly surprises.

Project
Spotlight

Borouge 4
Abu Dhabi, UAE
Borouge 4 is one of the largest industrial projects ever undertaken in the UAE, expanding the world’s biggest single-site polyolefin complex. Developed by Borouge on behalf of ADNOC and Borealis, the new-build polymers refinery will add 1.4 million tonnes of production capacity to meet global demand for advanced polyolefin solutions, while driving the UAE’s economic diversification and industrial growth.
Global Maritime supported the project with Marine Warranty Survey (MWS) services, ensuring safe and compliant transport of critical cargo across multiple international operations. Our oversight reduced risk and provided assurance during the movement of oversized and high-value components, including the world’s largest Borstar® gas phase reactor.
Our role included:
- MWS risk prevention across critical cargo transportation
- Oversight of international logistics and interfaces
- Assurance of compliance with stringent safety and quality standards
- Risk mitigation planning for oversized and complex cargo movements
