Scope of Work
Global Maritime has been appointed to provide Marine Warranty Survey (MWS) services for the transportation and installation (T&I) of all construction packages associated with the Anma Offshore Wind Farm, one of the first large-scale renewable energy developments in the Asia-Pacific region. The scope includes review and approval of engineering, loadout, transport, and offshore installation operations for foundations, inter-array and export cables, wind turbine generators, and offshore substations. The MWS role will ensure that all marine operations are conducted safely, in line with international standards and insurer requirements, while supporting the development of regional capabilities in offshore wind.
Challenges
As the first major offshore wind farm of its kind in the Asia-Pacific region, the project requires careful mobilisation of qualified personnel and adaptation to evolving local regulatory requirements. Regional coordination is critical, with multinational teams involved and APAC-based staff participating to both support delivery and build long-term capability. These factors, combined with the scale and visibility of the project, place particular emphasis on consistency in execution and proactive stakeholder management.
Outcome – Results and Deliverables
The project is in its early phases, with several key workstreams underway. Global Maritime has commenced engineering reviews for multiple packages, including cables, foundations, and radar towers. Drawing reviews are progressing in accordance with schedule, with on-site attendances planned to begin in later phases. While physical operations have yet to commence, early engagement has ensured continuity in technical assurance, clear communication with the project team, and a foundation for safe and efficient offshore execution. The project is already contributing to upskilling regional teams and establishing Global Maritime’s presence in the APAC renewables market.
