W.B. Yeats
Safe Return to Port, Design and Assessment
Global Maritime conducted a comprehensive Safe Return to Port (SRtP) assessment for the “W.B. Yeats” ferry to ensure it remains functional during fire or flooding. Using an integrated simulation model, they verified that propulsion and steering stay active, allowing the ship to reach port safely without immediate evacuation.
- Achieved full compliance with mandatory SOLAS safety regulations for passenger ships.
- Validated system redundancy for propulsion, power, and steering via simulation.
- Managed reactive support challenges throughout the vessel’s construction phase.
- Delivered specific crew action plans and testing programmes from the simulation database.
